Turning burns trauma into advocacy
In 2024, I survived a life-altering accident that left me with 40% burns to my body. I was placed in an induced coma, underwent extensive skin graft surgeries, and faced months of physical and emotional recovery. The pain wasn’t just physical—it changed everything: how I see myself, how I move through the world, and what I now stand for.
This journey reshaped my purpose. I’m now using my voice and story to raise awareness for burn survivors, especially those in regions with limited access to reconstructive surgery or specialist care. The trauma left its mark, but it also sparked a mission: to turn survival into something meaningful—for myself and for others walking this path in silence.
Taco
Hardy fell dog & trusted co-pilot
Taco isn’t just my dog—she’s my shadow, my co-pilot, and the soul of this journey. Obedient, friendly, and unbelievably well-behaved, she’s the kind of dog people meet once and never forget. She never needs a lead, has an incredible sense of the road, and handles new environments with the calm of an old soul.
Taco is a hardy traveller with a gentle heart, perfectly in tune with the rhythm of the road and the people we meet. I couldn’t imagine doing this expedition without her—because, truthfully, Paws and Pedal wouldn’t exist without her.
